I've been googling skin tag removal and I'm getting a lot of conflicting information. Some sources say to freeze them, some say cut them, some say laser. What's actually the most effective method for permanent removal and which is least likely to leave a mark?
All three methods can be effective, but they differ quite a bit in terms of precision and recovery. Cryotherapy (freezing) is common but can sometimes require multiple sessions and may cause temporary discoloration, especially on darker skin. Surgical removal is straightforward but introduces a small wound that needs healing. Laser tends to offer the most targeted approach — it vaporizes the tag with minimal surrounding tissue involvement, which usually means cleaner healing and a lower chance of visible scarring.

I went through the same research spiral before deciding. Tried cryotherapy first on one tag and wasn't totally happy with how the skin looked after. Switched to laser for the remaining ones and the difference in healing quality was noticeable. Much less redness, healed faster, and no discoloration at all. It's not magic but it's definitely the most precise option I came across. You can read about the procedure in more detail here: https://bellasanamedspa.com/service/laser-skin-tags-removal
